I think the admins keeping farting around with the settings. Before it just used to be the gallery section that was invisible unless you logged in. Then someone went in and made everything viewable, but you couldn't post anything unless you logged in or entered a code as a guest. Now it's the gallery and speak up that are invisible. Not sure why they keep messing with the settings.

Spam-bots. If you leave a forum to open to 'guest' posting and such the forum will be brought down by spam-bots within two days tops. It does not matter how secluded or popular/unpopular the forum is either. I use to mod at a forum for an indie shareware-turned-freeware CRPG I was also doing graphics for called "Helherron"("Hell-WHAT?!" you say? Exactly.) and spam-bots shut it down even after we put up the 'CAPTHA' + had to be logged in to post etc. restrictions.

Pain in the arse them things!! I had my website www.tombofbloke.com open to anyone and after a few months the forum section was attacked by loads of the damn things leaving huge amounts of useless links all over the place..After setting it to approval first i still get a lot of spam accounts but at least they dont make it onto the site anymore!
