I hate to be critical here but that style just does not do it for me. It is like the artist of a humorous web-comic up and decided to try his hand at drawing something serious and this was his first effort. Too (as Bart Sears once called it) "Bloopy" in some areas, not enough detail in others and an overall scribbly, unfinished or rushed look.

I hate to be critical here but that style just does not do it for me. My style is more cartoony than the more realistic style of Vigil (and most superhero books for that matter), thus presenting a different take on Faust. You would probably find my style more suited for TMNT ninjaturtles.com/comics/mirage/talesvol2/41/41.htm for instance. If you had just said that you aren't into this style, that would have been of no use to me, but you raised some interesting points on ways of making it better. |

ive noticed that alot of the guys on here are never happy,i dont mean to be mean but damn its someone elses take on a great character,steph has his own style and for him to have the balls to put this up,were we all know all of us can be VERY CRITICAL!just means to me hes a great artist,keep going brother ju

Don't lose your cape man. I have read at least a dozen "Good!", "Nice work!" and similar praises on here about Raisin's work and that is fine, but I say one critical thing and suddenly the whole world is crumbling!?
I am a big fan of Charles Shultz(Peanuts) and his style is not serious or dark but if he were to have posted his take on Faust I probably would not care for it.

I dig it. It's a different take on Faust and in a more "traditional" comic style IMO (almost like Sunday paper comic strips). I think it looks fine.
And a Charles Shultz depiction of Faust would be kind of awesome.

yes me too,i like bloomcountry i think its called,use to read em back before i had a tv,we also have a book coming out called AMBERDOODLES were they anima my charaters PSYCHOHUNTER,THE BLOKE,MONSTERMAN AND HORRORGIRL along with my first kids book THE DADDY THAT ATE MONSTERS cool shit in 2010!!!!
