I finally got my Hardware DVD from the mail. This is an awesome cyber punk movie. It's kind of a mixed between bladerunner and terminator (first one). I highly recommend you rent this if you just want to check it out. Here's a link for more info: dvdmaniacs.net/review.php?id=1048

Another interesting note about this flick is the soundtrack which includes Ministry, Public Image Ltd. and Iggy Pop

FYI - Blade Runner is my favorite film of all-time.

Funny you mentioned this flick, I was just looking into buying the DVD a few weeks ago. Loves me some cyberpunk! FYI - Blade Runner is my favorite film of all-time. It's worth every penny. The movie is really good. Get it. If you like Bladerunner, you'll like Hardware. It's NOT an "action" film like Terminator but it deals a lot with the cyborg/cyberpunk genere. It's more of artsy film like Bladerunner with awesome cinematography and plot. I don't know if that's a good description but that how I would describe the movie. Let me guess? You bought the limited edition Bladerunner briefcase dvd?

Let me guess? You bought the limited edition Bladerunner briefcase dvd? Of course I did. It's been my favorite film since I was a kid when it came out in 1982. I even bought the New American Orchestra soundtrack LP that same year (it was the only one available until 1994 when Vangelis released his). I bought the 3-CD Vangelis version of the soundtrack when that came out a couple years ago, got 2 bootlegs of the soundtrack...the works. Hands down, my favorite flick ever.

Been many years since I watched Hardware but wasn't that the movie that had the guy watching a GWAR video but the music playing was Ministry's "Stigmata"? I remember going "WTF?!" when I saw that. Also features Lemmy Kilmeister in a small role IIRC.
