WOW...we had our first con that i can remember in my lifetime this past weekend. it was one day only for 7 hours but it was nice to be at a con again. it was in a room about the size of a high school gym...maybe a little bigger. Tony Moore, the original Walking Dead artist was probably the biggest draw of the show. Tim Tyler and Mike Hoffman were supposed to be there but both pulled no shows. found out that an artist mainly know for his sketch card work for Marvel, Star Wars, Vampirella and an upcoming Bettie Page set, Charles Hall also lives in Louisville and only a few miles away from me. he did me a nice Bettie Page sketch. was about the only thing i got, this was a trip to introduce my girlfriend 14 year old son to the con scene. he really had a good time. hope someday that the economy turns around and i can take him to Chicago for a real con...but who knows, i stayed to the end and they were saying that it had a really good turn out and there would be another next year...hopefully alot bigger next time around.
