i remember watching Tim draw this one. in fact, he forgot it was to be a pencil at first and started inking on the hand holding the cigar before he remembered. nice job the Cadre.

That's a pretty cool piece, Cadre. The only thing is the character's left foot (the one next to "Cadre") seems a little too long. If you shortened it up a bit, I think it would look nicer. Just my $.02.

Nice to see you're still pumping out the work, Cadre. Sorry I missed you at Wizard World Philly. Tim said you were around.

Thanks all... This is a project which some of the Cadre Corner may be working on if the client likes this sample page from his script that he sent us... These are the pencils done by Cannonball and the inks will be by me once the client approves the pencils.

To be honest... some guy named John something or another... I forget... he is paying for us to do this sample page and if all goes well and he likes the results, then we will be doing an 80 page book for him. He seen the pages we did in the Bubba #7 issue and liked the style of Cannonballs pencils with my inks. If all goes according to plan, everyone will get to see just how good Cannonball really is. We started out the Bubba 7 which was Cannonballs very first sequential work and was well received... with the constant help and mentoring, I'm hoping to get peoples attention on this project. Hope it's not a real sleeper though... would be a shame to have really nice artwork and a snore job as far as script is concerned. I will tell ya this though, the one page we received for this tryout... the guy definitely knew what he wanted down to every detail. He left enough leeway for us to be creative layout wise and characteristically but was still able to give us certain characteristics and details that were to be displayed on the page. Should be interesting to say the least if he likes enough for us to get the job. I will post the inks when I get the approval on the pencils and the go ahead to proceed with the inking stage if everyone would like to see. ?
