thanks... had a meeting with the client yesterday... it's a go... first 11 pages for a preview and then to finish up... will be an 80 page epic story when all said and done. Most likely will be in GN format. Nice good luck with the project.

Jesse,
you're coming along, bro. Biggest thing I see is that you need to get better control of your line weights and variation of line weights. Try different tools. Brush is most versatle {sp}. You need heavier lines in the foreground and they should get thinner as you head into the background. That's way oversimplified, but that's the basic rule of thumb. And, as Tim is always telling me, you have to learn to "feel" and "find" the line. You'll probably wonder what the fuck that means for about six months, but when you start to get it things will be sweet. It's like a zen koan.

UK: If you're referring to the last one primarily, I inked the foreground with a softer tone with the idea of going for a painters approach... a more organic feel on the figure and bolder lines on the technical stuff. As discussed with the colorist on the piece he found it easier to color with the thick and thin lines on the primary character a bit thinner to give him more control. I've been practicing with brush for a while now... starting to like the feel. Thanks for the feedback... haven't heard from anyone in a while... started feeling like the "outside" guy looking in. Who's going to the Tampa show? Dragon Con? FX Show? or MegaCon this year?... I'll be at all of them, just a matter if I'll have a table or not... lol.

Is that Vin Diesel? Seeing this piece makes me realize even more how comic books are becoming so generic these days. That's why I like stuff that is "out of the norm" and that looks experimental (which is probably why I dig Templesmith's work). But besides the content, your inks are really nice, Cadre. UK had some really good points too. I won't be at any conventions for the remainder of the year (possibly Big Apple con in NY if Tim's going to be there). Next con I'll probably hit will be Philly Wizard World in '06.
