Nice. I didn't think about a color cover (thinking more about cost effectiveness), but I just realized: why not print these pups from Comixpress? (that's the place where I printed up Eternal Day). It would be like $1.63 per book (I think) with a color cover and 28 pages BW/grayscale interiors. The good thing too is that once we printed an order, it would be available online. Definitely an option to consider.

Yeah I think we should put it out through comixpress. Make them similar to the Utopia books.

Jai....any ideal how much a few colored pages in the center of the book would change the price of printing? Not sure. But there's a price calculator on the Comixpress website where you can tweak all of the specifics to see the different pricing. There's also different sizes you can print at. Check it out: www.comixpress.com/printing/One of the biggest logistical problems I see in printing this book is getting everyone to scan their work in at 300dpi. Everyone would have to have an oversize scanner or know how to merge two scans in Photoshop if the sketches were large. So how many convention sketches does everyone here have, anyway?

3 B&W ( Dr strange, Gollum from Lord of the Rings and a Gothic Nights love scene) and 3 colored (nude with snake, Gene Simmons of Kiss and a Dr Frankenstein and the Bride) if you count the nude lady with the snake that was in Dark Utopia just inked and is now colored that's what i'm holding that was done for me. i have more but there were bought off ebay and not mine originally.

Comixpress isn't a bad idea...which is why I suggested in originally....but will comixpress allow 2 things; X rated pics, and copyrighted characters? A sketchbook could probably be assembled without using any Marvel or DC characters Tim has done, but without any 'adult' shots? Like I said before, I can do full color printing on a small scale so I could do covers, and do the insides like a standard con sketchbook.... I also have plenty of webspace so I would have no problem collecting scans and posting them so we could vote on what's in the book.

Here's their statement on the Comixpress website: "We will not print any material which defames or violates the right of privacy or publicity, or any copyright, trademark right or any other right of any third party or which may be abusive or threatening to any third party, advocate any illegal activity, or be obscene, pornographic or violate any law. Comixpress reserves the right to remove any comics from our online store that it deems to be in violation of these principles or for any other reason." So yeah, looks like a no-go...with Comixpress, I mean.

What about a book (or a chapter in this book) with commisions people were willing to share?
I bet there's some jaw-dropping commish out there.
Plus if any one knows... what does it take to commision Tim or Joe?
