I started scanning tonight. I didn't realize how much Vigil bro art I had until I sat down with it. I tend to think in terms of the three "big" purchases I've made from Tim, but there are a LOT of things that make up my collection. I found TWO double-page spreads from Gunfighters in Hell that I forgot I owned!!! I got a lotta Joe stuff, too. The only pieces I'll put up in the official UK gallery will be pieces I own. I have a huge box of copies of other Vigil art I've collected from Tim and Joe in person or that you all have sent me from your collections. I scanned a couple pinups i dont think have ever been posted here and I'll post them in a few minutes in the Dark Utopia thread. Like my eventual gallery, they will all be 35% of the original size so you can soak in ALL tha GOODNESS!!

anybody who hasn't done so already really should take a look at the gallery UW has set up. It took me over an hour to just glance at it all. There's plenty of shit on there that will break your balls. including about 40 paintings that I never knew existed. I had no idea Tim painted this prolifically.

if tony were to come out here to scan I would have him wear a thong , nylons and cute bunny house shoes,,, Tim's darkest fantasies revealed. Frightening...

I love what UW has done with his gallery. So much so that I asked him if I could be a part of it. He has said yes, so it's on. my gallery idea is now dead and I will be inserting my collection into the relevant folders on the dynapoprevolt site. Because I think this can and should be THE place to go online for Vigil art. It's so well done that I'm proud to have my pieces on display there. You'll know which pieces come from my collection because I'll have a little blurb or paragraph accompanying my stuff. I'll post here as I put stuff up.
I scanned most of my Tim Vigil original art this morning. About 17 pieces. There may be a couple more lying around somewhere. At least 4 of these pieces have never seen the light of day ANYWHERE before since they're all in one huge hardcover sketchbook that i bought years ago and Tim is slowly filling it up.
this should all be fun stuff.
Then I'll start with the Joe Vigil stuff and it's a lot. Does anybody know how to stitch together two 11x17 images in photoshop? I need to know how to do this so I can put my two-page spreads together.
I'll also be helping UW and Glen posting portfolio plates, though the boys might get to this first since I've gotta work at least some. I'll give up sleep.

ATTN: Underworld. one mo' thing before i pass out this morning. You guys have a section in your gallery for Portfolios/Prints/Posters but nothing is there yet. Is it your intention to scan all the portfolio plates and prints and put them up? Do you have the Vigil's ok on that yet? I ask because that's something I can and will definitely help you put togther if you're open to some UK help. i have pretty much every comic/portfolio/print/poster and what not already scanned, just waiting for a free day to upload it all. also TIMVIGIL.com is owned by william from avatar comics. i tried to buy it from him but he's a bitch and told me he owns the rights to it which is a joke, im just waiting for the domain to expire then ill snatch it up from him. My boy Alex used to own that.

Does anybody know how to stitch together two 11x17 images in photoshop? I need to know how to do this so I can put my two-page spreads together. Here's a nice tutorial on how to stitch scans together in Photoshop: graphicssoft.about.com/od/photoshop/l/blstitchscan.htmI've used the technique personally when stitching two halves of an 11x17. Should work for what you're trying to do as well. It takes a bit of practice and tweaking, but if you pull it off you can't even tell where the images were joined together. By the way, is Anthony actively looking for submissions from other Vigil fans? I have the Eternal Day covers (pencils) and that Krishna sketch. Just let me know and I'll send them.

I will make use of the tutorial. And as far as I know Anthony wants it all. So, yes, send those scans. It'll take a couple years to get everything uploaded. Or i bet it will unless one of us stumbles onto a winning lotto number and can stop workin'!

I am nearly giddy with glee... dont all of you go tripping over one another to get there, but I've made my first entry at dynapop gallery. Go to convention pieces, sketches, inks, watercolors album and at image 165 you'll find my entry. I was able, thanks to UW, to title the image and insert the paragraph telling a little about it. EXACTLY what i wanted and had envisioned when I first thought of doing an online gallery!!
I am as tickled as Richard Simmons with a bag full of dicks...
The previous version of the same image, made from a shitty digital photograph and formerly image #266 has been deleted.

Insomnia has me, so I'm still fucking around. Normally I'm working all night so insomnia is in my favor, but slack times like now see me grinding my teeth through some endless, hard nights.
anyway, in the same album image 166 is another piece from my collection.
1am update- go to the conventions folder and the Faust album and you'll see a new piece as image 71 on pg 6. theres a story behind it and this is also a piece i dont think any of you have ever seen. Sound off if ya got opinions.
140am - Masterpieces section, 2nd page, image 20. The werewolf from Gothic Nights.
2am - masterpieces page two, a big oversized Batman piece I don't think anybody has seen in its entirety.
21oam - misc sketches has a pencil rough that I'm really fond of.
