Overall, the convention itself was a major disappointment over last year’s show. They had over 6,500 attendees last year, and this year it couldn’t have been more than 4,200 people. Another reason to consider NY Comic Con for '07! They had to close down the exhibition floor (which they said could hold 10 - 12,000 people!) because it was too over-crowded. I'm tell'in ya, the crowds were sick! Read about the madness here: www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=60900It won't be as chaotic next year though, because they're planning for the huge crowds. This year they just got caught by surprise, since it was the first time they were doing it. I'm sure the space will be much larger next year, at least to allow people some room to walk around the floor. I'm sure all of you would do great there, but then again who knows. Just because there are more people doesn't necessarily mean more sales. But at least you'd have more people to pimp to. (God, I must sound like a representative for the sales department of the NY Comic Con!) Of course there'd be more expenses for airfare, accommodations, etc., but if Jack the Lantern keeps picking up steam by '07 it could be worth it. Just an idea. But I'd look into getting a table now. They're going to go fast. PS - Thanks for the report! It was a fun read.
