Aquaman isn't a major character. I mean c'mon...it's frigg'in Aquaman! I'm talking huge, mainstream characters.

Geez...how much did you spend on that page that you have to hide it from your wife AND you could only get two sketches?! Personally I don't think it's that great of a page to lay down a ton of money, but hey, to each his own.

The money comment was about how much I spent total for the weekend, not just that piece.

Ok time for a Pittsburgh recap. Sorry no pictures this time, I forgot my camera. This will be the long rambling version. Got up around 5am morning and got my shit together and hit the road for Pitt around 6. It was a miserable cold rainy morning so the drive up pretty much sucked. I hit a huge fucking pothole on the PA turnpike, which will work its way back into the story later. So I got the con right about 10am when it opened and went in to find Tim and Uk. Said hello to the guys and sat down at the table to catch up and checkout stuff. I got to see Tim's latest progress on the Batman story. Oh man that is some kick ass work. There's a joker page that's just fucking amazing, and a rear view of Catwoman that just may be on of Tim's best ass shots ever. So then I decided to wander a bit and say hi to Tommy Castillo and a few others. So wandered back over the table and we decided that booze was needed and needed quickly. So I was dispatched into the wilds of PA to search out for some. I found a beer store, and when I got out in the pouring rain, I just happened to look down and notice the wheel cover was missing from my left front tire. I also noticed the tire was a little low on air. So I go in to find that you can only buy cases of beer at this store not booze. So I got directions to the liquor store and hunted down a bottle of Knob Creek. I pulled into a gas station to see if the tire just needed air. The bend on the rim was so bad that you could hear air rushing out as I tried to refill the tire. So I headed of in search of an NTB or Goodyear. So I find and NTB and tell the guy behind the counter what’s wrong. He says well lets me pull it in and see just how bad it is. So I'm expecting him to come back and tell me I need a new rim, new tire, alignment, and who knows what else. About 10-15 minutes later he pulls the car back out and comes and says it's done. So I ask what I owe you. He says I don't owe him anything there were able to bend the rim back in easily so no charge. So I head back to the con amazed that I actually got something for nothing. I fill up a cool Knob Creek flask that I got as a gift for Tim and head inside. Needless to say Tim was very happy with the gift and it made the rest of the day go by a lot quicker. So we finished up for the day and headed to Hooters to meet Kryptik, his wife, and a few other people. We get in and we have the classic Hooters waitress that's all looks and zero brains. So we order drinks and discover that UK has a secret love for foo-foo drinks. So next time you see UK don't offer to buy him a Guinness or anything. Just bring him a nice Seagram’s Watermelon foo-foo drink. so the waitress brings a pitcher for Tim and I but no one else’s drinks. She pours our beers and Kryptik wasn't paying attention and took my beer. This almost led to an international incident since it took forever to try to get the waitress to bring me a glass. Kryptik made up for stealing my beer by finally going and getting me a glass from the bar. So there was much eating of wings, laughing at UK and his watermelon drinks, and shooting the shit. We finished up at Hooters and headed back to the hotel bar to shoot some pool and figure out what to do next. So more beers were enjoyed and several bad games of pool were played. Then we decided to take a group of people upstairs and crash the Devil's Due party. UK had a little run in with this tool from the Police Academy that was working security which leads to many good jokes later. Tim took it upon himself to try to get everyone in the hall that didn't have a wristband for the party in since we were now his peeps. So we found that there was actually two parties on the top floor and just decided to hit the other one. This was a little empty but had a free bar with a very generous bar tender. So we ended up just hanging out there and getting very sloppy drunk. This is when I decided to kill a closet be leaning back against it. It was one of those sliding double door deals and I knocked it right off the track. After much fun and several drinks we finally stumbled back to the hotel to sleep it off. We all rose from the dead around 8:30 or so Sunday morning and decided to get some breakfast. I don't what was the worst about breakfast, the lack of toast, the freak of a host at the place, or the lovely live jazz music we had to endure. So we stumbled our way in and got setup for the day. The con was pretty dead, so we just sat and talked and Tim did a couple sketches for me and I sent a couple things back with UK to get inked. UK picked up and awesome Rudy Nebres page on Sunday. I gave Tim the rest of my cash as a down payment on the Faust page and decided to hit the road around 2. All in all it was a good time. I just hope Sunday picked up and Tim and UK made some more cash.

Sunday was a joke, and not a good one. if we hadn't done so well on Saturday I would have cried. I think I took at least one picture. Meeting and talking ang getting free art lessons from Rudy Nebres was a childhood dream come true and I felt like a total fanboy again. He was the coolest guy ever.
I'm now gonna do the Wizard Philly show with Tim.
ok, I gotta go ink.
