OK I'll admit the story was a little off especially the ending. But the images were cool. The girls father getting his head popped off and shit. The killer busting a nut in that chicks head. Plus I thought the film quality had a really cool look to it. Maybe it would have been better without sound. Red Dog I knew you'd hate it. I was wondering though if you would make a short list of what you would consider killer films. I know you've seen a ton of movies and have a giant dvd collection. What are some films you recommend? Not classics though like Reservoir Dogs or Scarface, something more obscure yet brutal. Thanks

Saw II - pretty much a turd. Some cool images but the acting and film quality were sad. IMHO I'm looking for hardcore movies without any cheese factor. Suggetions welcome

Hmm, some of those Abel Ferrara films come to mind. "Ms. 45" was pretty cool. That was Ferrara's next film after he did "Driller Killer." But you'd be better off finding the VHS copy than the DVD (the DVD seems to have been edited even though it's still an R rating, which is why I've never bought it). "Bad Lieutenant" with Harvey Kietel is a classic. Maybe not so much on blood and gore, but if you see it you'll know what I mean (and make sure you get the NC-17 version). I definitely recommend checking these out.

Oh, another flick I saw that received little fanfare but I thoroughly enjoyed is David Cronenberg's "A History of Violence." Just saw that last night actually. Some unflinching brutality and great acting overall. The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name. Another "obscure yet brutal" flick for ya.
Definitely worth a spin in the ol' DVD player.

It takes a great actor to pull off that cock and balls scene!
