Damn, thats crazy. How big is the place they are playing? Maximum capacity: 2,000 people. Nah, the Oakland Paramount is a little over 3000 seats. From what I've read, all of their North American shows sold out in like 15-30 seconds. Insane! I'm definitely gonna try again when they come back around after their European stint and do some bigger venue shows later this year.

I personally LOVE the new album. The song 10,000 Days actually made me cry the first time I heard it. I too tried like hell to get tickets for the Dallas show. The mother fucker sold out in liss than 30 seconds. And I was on ticketmaster.com the second they went on sale.
oh yeah, HEY FOLKS! **waves**
I know I haven't been around, it's always something isn't it. Well this time I think I have a pretty good excuse. I'm going to be the proud father of a baby girl in the middle of September. Her official due date is Sept 18th. I'm hoping for Sept 16th because that is also mine and my father's birthdays as well. It would be awesome to have 3 generations on the same day. Her name is Madison. We got to see the ultrasound of her on Monday. She was sucking her thumb it was so cute.
Anyways, don't want to derail this thread too much.
My favorite songs on the new cd by far are Jambi, Wings For Marie (Part 1), 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2) and most of all, Right In Two.
But I am conflicted about something. The cd comes out next Tuesday. I of course will support the band. But I have been hearing reports that Tool is releasing their entire catalog in dualdisc just 2 weeks later. If that's so, then I will be holding off to get the 5.1 version of 10,000 Days along with the rest of the collection.
Anyways just wanted to drop by and see how you folks are doing, say "HIYA MOFOS!" and tell you the news about my daughter.
Take care y'all!

Thanks for the link Red! I too was denied the Oakland show. I too was at my computer at 10 am pissed as fuck. I also had friends in line for the show, and the dude at the ticket dilly-o was so slow, not even the first person in line got one. Tomorrow at lunch I will finally get lucky with the Tool. Oh man, that sounds a little brokeback.

No problem, man. Those are definitely not the best quality boots but they will have to do for now. I'm sure some better stuff will be circulating soon. You should know that is certainly not the quality of goods I deal in. I'm talking to a couple of other fools on a few boards who are getting ready to tape the small venue shows coming up. One guy just got some new mics and a sweet new MiniDisc player. Should be some good stuff out there soon. I feel your pain. But not to worry, they'll be back in the U.S. in August and they'll be playing some bigger venues. Would have been great to see them at such a cozy and plush venue like the Oakland Paramount though! Heh heh, I went before I came to work. ;D Put it immediately on my iPod and I'm listening to "10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)" right now. The album sounds fantastic and much better than the leaked mp3 album.

There is a release of last nights show in Seattle on the net, unfortunately the only place that has it at the moment is a private bt site. But soon enough hopefully it will be avalible. I was going to record the Dallas show if I could get in. Still waiting to hear for a last minute ticket through a friend's dad who is a ticket broker.
I too went out and bought the cd yesterday. And I guess I'll be buying it again in 2 weeks if the 5.1 versions come out.
