I understood WHY he let her go (because she wouldn't reveal who he is/was) and because she no longer had a fear of death. BUT my question is, when she started freaking out and crying, he kept saying something like, "Yes, yes, you've found something in yourself haven't you?" He kept implying that she had learned something or discovered something while being locked away in that cell. She had some sort of revelation. What was it? She learns what captivity is, so has a better grasp of freedom, perhaps. I don't know.. they changed so much from the book, it's a different animal now. In the book she *spoiler, lol* unmasks him, destroying his symbolic power. In the movie he gets super powers from the virus, instead of dying, it seems. Who knows... the point of him putting her in the cell escapes me, really... it weakened his character to me, made him seem batshit crazy.

Alan Moore not deep? That's a new one. . . actually it sticks pretty close to the book. there are changes, yeah, but nothing as drastic as say Constantine, or From Hell, or "LXG." I thought they did a decent job. Plus, I want pics of Portman in that outfit Jai mentioned.
