as for the sketch book...yeah i think they're are a little high but i just got done looking at the art on the site and some of the pieces are pretty cool. right now , having had to get a new/old vehicle, it would take something original for me to cough up any cash but i might get one down the line when thing arn't as tight. as for selling art...my view is if i just buy a piece it may sometime go back up for sale...if it was done for me it's mine forever...also i always start auction for alot less than i paid for em and let the other collectors decide their value.

We need to just put out our own well made collection of our con sketches. Hell I would say even a few from my small collection are better then those. Like the Tanya one that UK inked for example.

I got a couple of killer con pics from Tim. We should definitely make our own con sketch book.

Ivo may very well be a cool guy - and it is definitely cool when he puts money in a Vigil's pocket - but he is definintely a profiteer. He has a history of buying pages and art specifically for resale. He's preordered art from art reps before it actually gets returned to the artists, and then flips 'em up on ebay after jacking the price about 60-75%. I know this specifically because I bought a Phil Jimenez New X-Men page from nimm98 that he got like that. I also am on good terms with Mike McKone's rep, and Ivo's bought a bunch of pages from him just to immediately flip them. I'm not necessarily saying there's anything wrong with following the 'buy low, sell high' mentality, but it does kind of suck from a fan / collector point of view.
I suggested a Rebel Studios forum sketchbook a couple days ago - I'd totally be up for organizing a project like this. I have about 40 Vigil pieces - some UK, DAL, and Doooom will recognize as having come from their collections (not that Doooom is still around or anything, but still). I got my first con sketch from Tim in 1989. I also have a professional-grade (for 2003) photo printer, so I could handle printing full-color covers myself. Or maybe just use comixpress. I'd also like to see all money from this (barring straight physical expenses) go right to Tim. Thoughts? Chris

I know between all the people here, there is no better Vigil collection.
