I just wanted to announce that the preliminary orders on the Jack: 1942 FCBD edition were over 13,500. Considering that this was the ONLY true dark / fantasy comic offered in an "all-ages approach / promotion" from the industry, I think the numbers cast a bright light on the series. Stores that never carried the series before, have ordered it in for FCBD, and that should give the series some much needed exposure from the retailers. We're also going to be donating 500 copies of Jack:1942 to the military men and women serving overseas.

Pretty sweet. I hope all of those 13,500 copies make it into people's hands and that you pick up 13,500 new fans, plus the people that those people tell...and then the people that those people tell, etc.

Now this is the first I've heard of this. I don't even need to tell everybody how I feel about this. Michael, when are they going out? Cuz I'll sign every one of the fuckers.

Now this is the first I've heard of this.
Diamond just asked all the companies if they would be able to donate 500 copies of their books, and I said, Hell Ya! I don't even need to tell everybody how I feel about this. Michael, when are they going out? Cuz I'll sign every one of the fuckers.
I feel the same, but unfortunatley they're going straight from the press and into the Diamond trucks for delivery.

Sorry for the late report. Well, well. Free comic book day has come and gone. And man, was it a blast! I was scheduled to sign from 10-4 at the local comic shop, but the crowds kept coming and coming, so I decided to stay until closing (6:00 p.m.) In the end, I handed out 140 copies of JACK: 1942 to a variety of people of all-ages. Surprisingly 40 % were women, which was really cool to see. Overall, we sold and donated almost 16,000 copies of this book, hopefully gaining some new readership. Oh, and I hope that rebel studios Ad gives this forum some well deserved exposure

Hopefully a lot of comic shop owners gave your book a serious read and order the new series. Michael also told me he donated quite a few books to the armed forces.

I'm really praying those retailers order Jack:Ghosts # 1 when it comes out. It's going to be a great second chapter! Yes, the U.S. military did receive 500 copies.
