Like a REAL movie with a REAL budget with a REAL company? Or is it going to be a low-budget, independent kind of thing? Either way that's pretty sweet for you. Congrats! Do you have any idea of when it would actually start filming or any of that jazz? Or does a screenplay still have to be written? Would you be involved in that process?

They are talking a 60 to 100 million dollar theatrical release. It's through a group called Vantage Pictures. They are connected to Universal. This is still only an option we still need a greenlight from a studio but the guys handling the deal think we will have one by the end of November.

This is fucking awesome news! I must re-read my GIH TPB as much or more than any other book I own and just ordered a bunch of the Joe Vigil items(Lost works etc.) from Glen.
I am hoping the movie will be as good as the book(unlike the Faust movie which I think was one of the absolute worst C2Fs to be made) but I am glad in any case(as I am/was for Tim and David for the Faust movie) that you will be getting some returns on your creation.

I hope this happens but this is another Hollywood case where if they need a shitload of special f/x (because this would most definitely need them!) they need a good return on their investment, and that usually translates as a somewhat sanitized version of the original. That or another live action Faust. I really do hope they keep it hardcore and make it happen!

make a good animated movie... then there would be nothing that couldn't be done right.
