I know somebody in this board published a comic book using a website.
Does any remember the name of the website?
Also, do they send you a proof or sample that you can look at?
I like to publish an art book kinda of like Dark Utopia.

That was probably me you're thinking of with my book "Eternal Day": www.comixpress.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21&products_id=1212The company is Comixpress. And they'll send you a proof if you request one. I think it's an additional $5 or something like that. We did a proof for the book above and it was a good thing that we did, because the grayscale settings were off. I've also heard of people using Ka-blam for their digital printing: ka-blam.com/printing/Some people say they're better than Comixpress, but when you get down to it they're both offering the same exact thing with the exact same pricing. Actually, if you calculate the costs using their calculators I think Comixpress is a little cheaper. And keep in mind they both won't publish obscene or pornographic material. They might accept some boobage and butt cheeks, but probably not any more than that. Just curious, what is this art book you want to make? Is it all of your own personal work?

I use his images as a joke. But, I'll confess I was a fan back when Cable was introduced. But after a couple of issues later, I sobered up and I realized he wasn't really a good artist. I was thinking of using Alan Moore next. But I think I'll keep Liefied for now. so ill tell you but you have to take down the retarded avatar of liefield... he should die!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to do a comic book but it takes too longand I'm not that good writer. So I decided to stick to doing pin-ups. And I wanted a book that showcased my artwork like Dark Utopia. I'm starting from scratch and I'm not using any old artwork. I'm on four images right now. All the artwork is going to center on sci-fi and horror. No superhero. I finally bought a scanner. But after scanning images, I didn't realize how much touching up I would do with photoshop. I get a lot unwanted pencil smudges that I need to erase. I'll post some images to get some feedback. We (Virus Comix) use Ka-Blam for our books and they do a great job.As Jainitai pointed out above Comixpress are available too but i havent used them to print anything so can't tell you what they are like.Price wise works out about the same..ka-Blam dont charge a set up fee whereas Comixpress do but once you total up the final cost of printing the books it works out around the same price, give or take a few dollars. Once you have printed something it stays on file for print on demand if you want to add it to their sister website Indyplanet..I believe Comixpress have the same sort of option, but something that Ka-Blam is working on for release anytime now is a website thats print on demand for retailers..for a one off $10 fee they will add the barcode needed for the front cover. .you can pay it upfront or option to have the $10 taken out of future sales of your book..if after a year you havent built up enough sales to pay the $10 Ka-Blam will invoice you for it to be paid then...this way as well as the public being able to order your books retailers can look through the archives and order any that catch their eye so it works out great for getting your work out to a wider audience. As for content they will print anything R-Rated but nothing hardcore..I was recently told that as long as we dont show A going into B we can get away with most other stuff!

Yeah, sounds like Ka-Blam has the same kind of offerings as Comixpress, although I don't know if Comixpress does that retailer/barcode thing. The print quality of Comixpress' books are top notch. I've seen Ka-Blam's quality in Steve Mannion's books and they also look great. So they're pretty even in terms of quality, which are both great.
I STILL think digital printing is the way Tim should go for printing Faust 14 and 15.
