That topic was just to get a smile out of Tim...
My "official" comment is "Chicago con was TITS!"
I had a blast. Didn't attend a single panel yet somehow this was one of the best trips to Chicago-Con yet and it was my 15th in the last 18yrs. I got a "Lady Death" V.I.P. ticket which was cool as it included all of Avatars Lady Death stuff, none of which I had bought so it was a good deal. It also gave me the chance to get to hang out with Matt Martin quite a lot who I've been a fan of for 17yrs and had yet to meet. Also gave me a good chance to talk up Tim Vigil to the guys at Avatar. How the hell could they NOT be offering "Crossed" covers to Tim at the least.
Sent as many people Tims way as I could while talking and meeting people. One guy had Tim do an X-Men sketch cover ala Faust#1 with Cyclops head. Turned out pretty sweet !
Tim was nice enough to let me stand around at his table most of Sunday afternoon. I had picked up the "Art of the Devil" book on Friday and had spent at least 2hrs staring at it by Sun. Fantastic Book ! Matt Martin picked it up Sun and by Tuesday told me it was by far his favorite thing he gotten at the show. Good stuff indeed.
Tim graciously signed way more books for me he should have, and couldn't have been any nicer, One of the best thing was some guy who was having Tim do a sketch of his god awful character named "Captain Dudley" Swear to god the character had a round symbol on his chest with "CD" on it. Holy shit it was hilarious!
Any-who, Tim was actually cool enough to wait for the guy to come back to the table to see if he could embellish on the design, which ended taking the design from WTF to pretty cool. Which was a miracle in and of itself !
For those more internet savoy than myself, feel free to put together a petition to get Avatar to have some sweet Vigil goodness on the way.
Thanks TIM!!!
