Dis being Satan's city in the sixth ring of hell". . . . . . Hail horrours, hail Infernal world, and thou profoundest Hell Receive thy new Possessor; One who brings A mind not to be chang'd by Place or Time. The mind is its own place, and in it self Can make a Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n What matter where, if I be still the same, And what should I be, all but less than he Whom thunder hath made greater? Here at least We shall be free; th' Almighty hath not built Here for his envy, will not drive us hence: Here we may reign secure, and in my choyce To reign is worth ambition though in Hell: Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heav'n." ...John Milton, Paradise Lost (Book 1) Dog...ArmageddonThe MummyConan: City of the DeadFaust Saga There's a little story behind this piece done at the Vegas con. Cindy wanted to get something done by Joe for my birthday so she asked him to do some flowers. This was all done on the sly, so when I saw the picture I had to laugh as I imagined Joe who usually gets request for gore and such doing a double take at this request accompanied to the sound of a semi truck full of pigs going 70 mph locking up its breaks. Joe was most gracious accepting her request. I like to garden, just flowers, and my favorites are Iris of which I grow over 150 varieties, Cindy has a tatoo on her upper breast of some Iris. This is the image she wanted Joe to do, so whenever I was off wandering the con she showed Joe the tatoo(I think this was just a ploy to show him her boobs) Joe tossed in the fairy which makes the sketch fun.
