That's looking great. I really love the energy in the last panel of the first page here and I like how the ax breaks the panel, so it looks like it's coming out at you. It really creates a great energy and sense of space, like you can feel the power of the ax swing. I also like the detail in the second page where the skulls and jaw bones are popping up from Death Dealer walking on them.
Is Tim also inking these himself or is someone helping with the inks? It's a shame that the colors are just going to make these look gray, monotone and dull.

"It's a shame that the colors are just going to make these look gray, monotone and dull." Yea, it's gunna suck so don't buy it. Well I'll still buy it, as I've been buying them all along, because I always enjoy supporting and seeing Tim's work. But you have to admit when you see his work colored like this (by Nei Ruffino), you really see how the coloring takes the work to another level: I know this has been an on going topic and point of contention with these books and I don't mean to keep bringing it up. It's just frustrating that you can't spend more time on them to bring them to that next level, as we've seen on some of your other coloring work. I'm not trying to sound like a dick and I'm sorry if you're offended. I'm not saying your a bad colorist at all. And I know it's all about the deadlines. Like I said, it's just frustrating, even more so because these books are the only current Tim Vigil work that we're getting. We wait and wait for these books and to see them come out at a production level that isn't 110% is sometimes disappointing. That's all I'm say'in. And maybe I keep mentioning it thinking that maybe the next book will have a little more "oompf" in the coloring, shading, texture, etc. But maybe it just pisses you off more and you have no intention of changing your approach. That's fine. I'll still buy it.

Great piece, but I'm to old/tired to make my points on why/how I do things, like it or don't...it's art and everyone has opinions.
I think you will enjoy Part 3, the colors do "pop" more with more rendering that I will carry on to Part 4...that when collected I plan to do a full sweep to keep everything consistent throughout, a "Remastered Collected Edition"...but then again, I'm old and tired.

I've always really liked Jay's work. He's got a great style that flows with Tim's dark design.

Awesome art. I look forward to buying this book.
I remember all those pin-ups that Tim did with Death Dealer. It's about time that he draw a comic with Death Dealer.
