it could go either way but know the guy playing Conan ( Jason Momoa ) is getting kinda type cast. he's playing a barbarian part ( Khal Drogo ) in the HBO series Game of Thrones also.

Really dont see much comparison to either of those movies, this looks much better than I expected.

PD: how do you NOT see the similarities with P of P and 300?! It's that slick, stylized look and with fight scenes that slow down and then speed up. And there's the obligatory "rain" of arrows flying through the sky, which is straight out of 300. Oh, and at the beginning the wizardy dude looking into the future, which was also in 300 (with the Oracle or whatever it was called).
Tim: didn't you know Conan can do sword tricks? In the movie they'll probably have him twirl his sword like a baton, throw it up in the air and catch it behind his back and then yell, "Ta-daaaaa!"
