This is abou the only Vigil book I don't have. Could anyone please tell me what it has different than the regular edition? I know it has a extra cover and maybe a poster and I think they're all signed and numbered? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! Jeff

Not many people replied because there aren't many people here. I have no idea what's different about the premier version, just that it was limited and signed.

OK if anybody cares mixed feelings on this one. the positive is that damn is it a nice copy! it looks better than most comics on the shelf--perfect white paper, no fade on the inks, no even slight crinkles on the cover or anywhere. I don't know how the hell they kept a comic from1988 so nice! My two bagged and boarded copies of the regular number one have the pages all yellow and the art is definitely faded. At least I have the Communion editions to read. On the kinda cool side it has a new inside cover editorial from the guys at Northstar a kinda lame looking different back up story called"Buzz Mason" by Mort Castle, Darryl Young and Tim Tyler that is 5 pages, a different cover and an add on the back cover for a Faust shirt with art for the add by darryl young. The big bummer is it's not signed and numbered and no poster. I didn't know there were Premier limited editions that weren't signed and numbered and didn't have a poster. Fuck biscuits. Well I probably stick with this one since it was less than $30.00, in such good shape, and the signed ones are going for about $75.00-$300.00 and I generally don't pay more than $40.00 for a comic or art pieces/portfolios--with the exception of the Gothic Nights Masterpiece print or original art. Oh well I should have done more research. I imagine most of you have the s.&n. edition so don't give a shit but the 3 40 ouncers made me post this. So don't blame me. . Oh yeah more drunken ramblings. I got it the mail on the same day as the Gothic Night Tanya print (where she's on the balcony) cause mine got fucked up and it's probably my favorite print by Tim so far so I'm still geeked. Jeff

I'm curious also about it not being signed or numbered. If I ever see mine I will check its status.

If yours has a poster, it should be the signed and numbered edition.

Yep. Except it was signed and limited to 1000 which is not SUPER rare. In the back of mine it has an ad where you can order either edition. I think Im going to stick with mine cause the image on the poster has been on a ton of different things that Northstar and Rebel put out. Maybe if I ever find it cheap....

Haven't been here in awhile but I can comfirm that both s/n and regular editions were released at the same time for Faust #1, Northstar #1, and Omega #1. I saw the ad in the back of Comics Journal or something and as I was a fan of Tim's artwork in Grips ordered them all.
I've only looked at my s/n Faust a couple of times so it has been stored away since 1988. I believe I might have sold my Northstar and Omega s/n years ago, but still have the unnumbered copies. When I get a chance I'll take pictures of them all and post them.

Here as promised are photos of the frontispiece of Faust #1 premiere edition s/n. It is only signed by Tim, and is #257 of 1000. Here is the poster included with the comic. Probably only the 2nd or 3rd time its been unfolded in the past 24 years! I no longer have my s/n copies of Northstar #1 and Omega #1, but I seem to recall that the Northstar had more than one signature in it.

Damn. like I said I have the unsigned one. I really don't care a lot about autographs and I have that poster image on a couple things. But damn it, I still kinda want it. I think I'm going to try to sell my unsigned one on eBay and see what happens. If it sell I'm going to use the money to get the only "leather cover" book that Quinn, Tim and others did for avatar that I don't have; The Book of M.
