Tim is a modern day Leonardo. This rocks.

Tim stated this is a study of a work in progress I was just going to say it looks like a study for something. It's a little bit stiff and posed. It lacks that dynamic energy were used to seeing in a Tim Vigil piece (which comes from him working and re-working an image endlessly to get it "just right"). This is still a beautiful sketch, though. And there's that "dome" halo again! Tim, where did you get the idea to draw halos like this? I'm more of a ring-around-the-head kind of halo guy myself.

so good it almost make me want to go to church . been in some amazing churches art wise with their stained glass windows, paintings and figurines. love the detail in the mid waist piece and the demon sword hilt is a nice touch. as for the halo either way works for me. DAL

You find halo's like this during the early renaissance period. Here is an article about the use of halo's in western art. www.lope.ca/halo/

Tim's are right on top of the head, like a dome, but the one's given as examples in the link above go all the way around the head, down to the neck. It's more obvious they are halos.

Jai that article showed there have been numerous ways to portray the halo and only featured 30 images out of the tens of thousands that have been done. Your view is to narrow Look at the figure in the bottom right Another type

This is absolutely gorgeous. The face is so soft, the hands caress the sickass sword just perfectly, the detail in the corset. Fuck, This is great.
Tim- I can't wait to see the painting!
