This makes absolutely no fucking sense at all. What the fuck is up with this? news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060221/ap_on_go_co/port_securityWhat the hell is Bush thinking here? Oh no, they won't try and sneak deadly weapons and chemicals into our country. Of course not. We all know the United Arab Emirates doesn't breed terrorists.

Well aren't those his buddies? At least I think that's what was portrayed in that fat dude's movie "Farenheit 9/11".

Well on some things I think Bush is doing a good job on other things he has me thinking what the fuck. Like illegal aliens, and this port fiasco for another. Its not like the UAE would be actually doing the dock work, that would still be done by the organized crime run unions, and we know how honest and trust worthy they are. The coast guard and port authority would still be running inspections and security Barney Fife style, with only 5 to 10% of all cargo containers inspected(dont you feel safer already) Some things in America should not be owned by other countries, our oil companies, power plants, Baskin and Robbins. for red dog

This worried me a whole lot considering I work in the port of LA, i dont know how the docks are run out there but i assume it is prety much the same, so the mob? dont know.
security here varies from port to port, but some of them are very tight, and secure. The companies that run each port seem to have different standards, and long beach seems to take a more active roll in green air and security projects than a large portion of LA.
But your right PD some things should not be able to be outsourced, or let run by countries outside the US. Port security should be one of them. but i guess the pres just wants the contract to go to the highest bidders no matter who owns it. damn the consequences.

Overall I've been very disappointed in Bush in his 2nd term. Many times I've thought "This guy has lost my respect."
But thank christ we don't have Pres Kerry. oh, jesus, we are fucking blessed to have Bush if you think about the alternative.
But on this dock thing and his overall 2nd term I give Bush an F as a Republican President and a C+ as verses the damage a democrat would have done.

oh, what's he thinking about? He's thinking about MONEY. And how to help the people who have purchased the world. That's what all politicians do when it comes to it.
Some brother referred to ours as a "White Man's World" the other day. After I called the idiot out, it still hit me as sad that people still think this.
IT IS A RICH MAN'S WORLD!

ok I'm against this port deal, but here is what sucks about this vote. The scumbags attached this to the appropiations bill to fund further operations in Iraq and continued relief for katrina victims. So any votes to support the port deal would be votes against both of these other issues. No politician wants to be seen as oppossing these two issues. It sickens me when they attach a bill that may not fly to something that cant be turned down. Every item should receive an up or down vote on its own merit. This is what causes so much pork barrel spending, every greedy blood sucking politician who has a pet bill gets em passed this way. fuck em all

But on this dock thing and his overall 2nd term I give Bush an F as a Republican President and a C+ as verses the damage a democrat would have done. I believe nothing about this would have changed if Kerry was president, except the bullshit reasons we would have been given for this would have been different. If you still believe that the president has any authority after watching Dubya in action, you probably believe that other cartoons are real as well. It's all good, it's better to be an economic slave here than a real slave somewhere else(until you need health care).
