Any of you guys gonna watch this fight ? I am. www.ufc.com/I was wondering and this may be a stupid question but could Bruce Lee hang with these guys? I'd like to think he could fight them both and win. Is'nt "The Way of the intercepting Fist" the greatest of all the fighting styles ? peace

I'd watch the Hughes/Gracie fight if it was free. There's no way I'd pay $50 to watch a 5 or 10 minute fight. Who do you think is going to win, Wulf? Personally I think Gracie might be a bit too old to last with Hughes.
And yeah, I think Bruce Lee could probably kick both of their asses, but maybe not at the same time. Or could he??

This is crazy shit! Matt is a beast, but Royce is looking a little beefed up too.
I would watch it for ten dollars. We will never know about Mr. Lee, but we can belive whatever makes us feel good.

I think in a REAL fight no one could predict, but in modern UFC it would have to be the guy that trains for modern UFC the best... I'm gonna be watching, taping, and bootlegging ufc 60... a lot of my friends want Gracie to win, because they hate Hughes' style, I used to hate Gracie's style,. so I'm going with Hughes haha...

Bruce Lee could have easily competed in todays MMA. Should be a great fight this weekend, I see it going the distance. Advantage to Hughes, the game has somewhat changed since Gracie was a full time fighter, but he is one of the best ground men ever.

I'm going for matt Hughes. He's a farm boy from Iowa. I'm from Iowa and I know they don't come any stronger then farm kids.( I lived in the city) I like Gracie but I think Matt will take him by decision. But what the fuck do I know. As long as it's not over in like 30 seconds I'm cool with just watching a good battle. Peace WULF

I keep hearing about Wong Jack Man beating Lee in the old days, and this being the cause of him inventing JeetKuneDo. Anyone else hear that?
Supposedly Bruce was even trying to fight dirty, and everything we know about him is supposed to be falsified by Linda Lee.
Whatever, he was awesome.

Hughes dominated Gracie. It was all over in like two and half minutes in the first round. Gracie's eye looked pretty fucked but he said he would be back. I wish it would of lasted a little longer since I paid 40 bucks to watch it. At one point it looked like Hughes was gonna snap Gracie's arm he had it bent so far back. I think his pride and his father pride took a serious blow. The old man looked pretty stunned that his son lost. Matt Hughes is a monster. peace WULF

I watched it again last night sober. It was more like 4 minutes and 40 seconds of domanation. His temmate fought earlier and won in 2 and half minutes. Yeah 40 bucks for it was high but there were like 8 fights in all I think.

Not really, Bruce beat him but it took too long according to Bruce. He imagined all the things he did wrong and how he could have sped up the process, which led to him inventing JKD. Wong was actually the one who fought dirty. If you have ever seen The Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story that is pretty accurate on the fight, except he did not break Bruce's back. Bruce pummled his ass agin afterwards. Bruce Lee today? I have studied his books, watched his interviews and seen about every known piece of footage of him demonstrating and competing. Bruce, in his prime, would have beat any of these guys. ANY!

Bruce, in his prime, would have beat any of these guys. ANY! And the Wong camp and the only other living witness besides Linda Lee say that Lee lost. Dragon supposedly only had Linda as a consultant, so they say it was twisted. The only thing that can be proven that I've seen is that there was no rematch, even though Wong wanted one after the interview where Lee said he "beat a kung-fu cat" but was tired afterwards and decided to revamp his style. I have no idea, I'd like to believe that Lee was as honest as he was talented, and that he didn't die of a cocaine overdose at his mistress' house, but I like to read both sides of every story, man. It's funny, Wong Jack Man says that he believes that a lack of knowledge of breathing exercises led to an unhealthy development of Lee's art and eventually his death... Even Wong doesn't jump on the 'cocaine overdose' theory. The loss of Brandon was a horrible tragedy... "Rapid Fire" was one of the best martial arts films before the age of crazy computer generated crap. He would have been HUGE eventually, no doubt.
