1. Your looking at washed out low res jpeg web files, the colors are a lot richer and there is not really any grey in them, pale blues to kacky tans. Viewing a color pallet like this can fall to the "grey" that you are talking about with these preview pages. So I guess I'll just have to wait until I see it in print to criticize it! Hah! Just kidding. I appreciate and understand your points. Looking forward to having the book in my hands.

OK I have a preview issue if Beowulf and I thought it looked a lot like this. Light blues and kackys with little work done to it, mainly fades with some air brush. It leaves me feeling cheated when I know how skilled you are. As far as BIZ work, you could do something in that vein underneath the line art. Its to bad I guess for me that Frazetta doesn't want Frazetta. I think a lot of fans would. This is unbelievably good and certainly reads Frazetta to me. Now I'm not saying you have go this far although I wish you would and make it something really special. I would lay down the Money for a book done like this, but there's gotta be an in between. I just wanna see more of this killer work and charge us if you have to.

With Silver Warrior I'm working off Nat's pencils, more of a "painted style"...there I don't have to worry about stepping on inks and the mindset is I'll be covering the line art...much like the covers we did for DD.

this is the book that will get Tim back in the mainstream eye, so, no matter what, I expect ya'll to pre-order this heavily at your LCS. Or else. And Jay made this happen, so keep that in mind. We owe 'em. I'm not kidding, it's not enough to go in a shop or online looking for this, you are to pre-order it large at a LCS. If you do not, may your children gnaw for eternity at the keratinous warts of my scrotal sac.

The plan is to launch a FRANK FRAZETTA'S DARK KINGDOM miniseries after this one-shot, which will tie into the events of this story. The current story is totally self-contained, but as you'll see, there are a lot of tales of Red Morden yet to be told... So FFDK will be different from FRANK FRAZETTA'S SWAMP DEMON (written by Joshua Ortega, art by Josh Medors), which will be a true one-shot, and won't be followed up by a miniseries. And it's worth mentioning that both of the above books are part of the DEATH DEALER continuity, take place in the same world, and SWAMP DEMON even features two of the major characters from DEATH DEALER (the druid Dreovid and the demon Dazaka), though the story takes place 500 years before FFDD. Red Morden's land, Vikavia, is also mentioned in DEATH DEALER, and will play a role in this fall's FRANK FRAZETTA'S SILVER WARRIOR.

Joshua jumped the gun on that statement, until we get #'s from the new Frazetta books bepends on what will do in the future. DK part 2 is sitting there waiting for the go ahead, so it depends on YOU, preorder DK or DIE!

If you do not, may your children gnaw for eternity at the keratinous warts of my scrotal sac. Well don't get us wrong here, T. We're not saying "Poo on Jay!" We understand this opportunity came about for Tim by his friendly offer, but I think we just feel that since it's going to put Tim in the spotlight a bit that the coloring should compliment his line work. I understand Jay's apprehension in ruining or coloring over the line work, but at the same time under-coloring it can also ruin it by not making it "pop". But yeah, definite kudos to Jay for making this happen. There's no arguement there from any of us. By the way, so I wasn't clear: this book is DEFINITELY available for pre-order NOW?

It looks good to me. I can agree with jai, about the grey tones being to much. But I do think I should wait before saying to much. I was floored as soon as I heard about this, and It is definately fro pre-order today. Whether they sell or not, i convinced my lcs to order quite a bit, hes a freind, and said that the death dealer did really well, so i'm hoping this does even better.
