punk is about anarchy and questioning authority, bands who claim to be 'punk" now a days sing about happiness and the bright colors of the rainbow with a smile on their faces so their video gets played on MTV. punk is dead

He was on the dailyshow as a conservative punk with a skull on his face... and yeah pop punk sucks.

misfits are the shit, until danzig quit anyways Michale Graves is a better vocalist. he can hit more notes, but i saw the "new" misfits live, and his vocals sucked that night, so i thought it was just good sounding on an album the first album they did after the 13 years off, was ok, the next one sucked ass, and yeah the whole half christian thing was a little wierd considering the history of the band

and if you like snapcase, or more the refused try a little of the rise.
where refused was heading before they split, the rise picks up and runs with it.

AFI before they became popped out? Tiger Army? I've heard stuff from both bands. Didn't really care for them, but I did enjoy some tracks from their "Son of Sam" effort.

Wow, I just noticed your sig, RD... haha, brutal.
This is becoming the " all music thread " isn't it? ok, what about suicidal tendencies/infectious grooves? they were cool I thought.. that one little goblin guy could play the hell out of a bass...

infectious grooves - i have not listened to any of that in years, thier fist album sarsipius ark, or whatever was great, especially the interludes with the lizard talking.
from what i understand, and have seen i think mike muir has kept suicidal alive and is still releasing albums, with a revolving door of members, or was until recently

He came out and went back in the closet in one post... wow. Any extreme metal you can stand? I like some of the guitar show off stuff, but all the vocals are dumb it seems.

their not bad...vocal are cool... the music is almost too punky for me.. i am mostly a metal head.. but listen to everything really? too punky? i see what you mean in children of bodom... I like a few bands of each type of black metal, still listen to old school metal, when its something so bad its funny, or if its something cool i missed... kinda like dio, maiden, yngwie, manowar because theyre skilled but still terrible, you know? I also like industrial, but not the 'techno' kind
