Here's the first taste from the brand spanking new story arc in the Jack the Lantern series entitled: "GHOSTS". The cover is now available for viewing on our web-site! www.castlerainentertainment.ca This beautiful cover was Illustrated by the regular artistic team of penciler Jerry Beck with Inks by Tony Bledsoe. The colors were nailed to the "T" by Ben Prenevost. To commemorate this first issue, Jack: Ghosts # 1 will retail for $1.25 -- Yes, you read it right-- $1.25. The book will be released in October, 2006--before Halloween. Stay tuned!

The Joe Vigil machine is burning the walls at the Castle! As most of you already know, there will be a variant cover / edition of Jack: Ghosts # 1 for every 5-copies of the standard version ordered by the retailer. The alternate cover is up on the web-site for those who haven't seen it. I also announced that this edition would have toy designs of Argotakar( 2-pages), which were penciled by Jerry Beck. Now, I also mentioned sketches featuring new characters from the series. And to that, I'm here to announce that Joe V. will be providing 3-extra pages; each featuring an all-new character from the series for this edition. Angelos, Beck, Bledsoe and Vigil! What other reason would you need to buy this book?

pre-ordered 10 copies from each of the stores in Spokane, WA. They had no knowledge of the book. It sparked their interest because of the number of copies I ordered and both commented they would be ordering some for their stores also.

It never ceases to amaze me when any retailer says that they never heard or seen our series. With the amount of advertising in Previews, Conventions, Free Comic Book Day, Tim Vigil, Jerry Beck, $1.25 and still...? C'mon, get with it!

YEAH BABY! I just got my sample copies of both editions, and they are truly amazing! The paper quality and production was nothing short of great. Also, I've got the new AD on the back of the book featuring the JACK: Ghosts # 2 cover (Beck and UK). Ben's color work was, as always, magical.

this was the book that nearly killed me. Now that it's out, it was more than worth the pain.
For the first time in months I'm currently without work and am almost shell shocked by the fact. I'm just floating around until I can get my head straight.

So what gives? Nobody buying comics anymore? Got my copies in the mail on Saturday and from the other store yesterday. One shop was way cool charged me for the books I ordered and threw the incentive comics in gratis.
Gotta say this book looks great, the incentive book is a must with three pinups by Joe that the other book doesnt have. UK did a fantastic job, his inking helped blend the artistic differences between the two pencilers so that the transition wasnt a jolt.
So who did the first work up of the three villians at the end?

o who did the first work up of the three villains at the end?
The pin-up's by Joe were the first designs of the new villains.

Thanks PD! You're right, Tony's inks were right on the money.
Did anyone else have a chance to read the book? I'd like to hear some feedback.
