Anyone plan on seeing "Incredible Hulk"? Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on it? Personally I have no interest to see it. Ang Lee's version ruined it for me. I just can't get that one out of my head. One interesting thing that I saw in a preview though was that apparently Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) makes an appearance in it. Did my eyes decive me or did anyone else catch that? And is it supposed to be Stark or just some other character that coincidentally is played by Downey Jr?

It's Stark. Since Marvel is doing there own movies now, they are setting up for an Avengers movie. Which if you stayed after the credits in Iron Man you would know about. So they have Stark show up in The Hulk, then they have plans for a Thor movie, and then a Captain America movie. They will then blend those characters, and maybe a few c listers to make The Avengers.

Yeah, I did stay after the credits for Iron Man. I just didn't realize they were doing all of this cross-pollenization of characters. That's pretty cool, actually. Kind of like tying the whole Marvel Universe together and making it take place in the same time and space. I'm still a little uncertain about Thor and Captain America's translation into film. Could end up being really cheesey.

Originally they announced that The Incredible Hulk was be a fresh new start, ignoring the Ang Lee fuck-up. But they changed their minds at some point and the movie being released is in fact a sequel to the Ang Lee Hulk. It begins 5 years after the events in the first movie with Bruce still in the jungles of Peru and not having seen Betty Ross since the end of the Ang Lee movie.
Even worse is that Edward Norton was a huge fan of the old T.V. series with Bill Bixby but not really a fan of the comic books so the movie reflects a lot of that influence.
WHen I first saw the trailer I had high hopes but not so much anymore.

I'm goin to see it tomorrow with my pop. Let us know if it was worth it (although even if you say it's good I doubt I'd pay to see it in the theater).

I read yesterday that Edward Norton was not promoting the film at all. Looks like he was very unhappy with the final result and he had a falling out with Marvel and Universal.

What I'm shocked about is I can't believe that fucker let SALMA-frigg'in-HAYEK get away. I would have wiped her butt and made her breakfast everyday...as long as she became a vegetarian.

Yeah, whenever I see the guy now, and he's one of my favorite actors of his generation, I think, "you gotta be a total fuckin waterhead to let Selma fuckin HAYEK get away." You gotta be wearin a fuckin football helmet with a cork on the end of your fork. That really is the first thing that comes to mind whenever I see or hear or read about Edward Norton. Cuz I'd chain the doors on an elementary school shut and burn the fucking place down 10 minutes after recess was over to get a night with Selma. Drinking fuckin Patron off her foot. I'd slap yo' MAMA! And fuck that vegetarian shit, if she's with me, she gots ta eat meat!!!

My verdict is, grab some tickets to a matinee and go see this fucker! Not a whiff of cheese was present, the directing was cool, the film was shot like a real super-hero movie instead of Ang Lee's fucking MTV Linkin Park video editing. Acting was top notch. If you dig the Hulk as a character, go see it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Awesome tie in teaser at the end like Iron Man. It was beautifully, intelligently done. And it erases Ang Lee's piece of shit, it really cleanses the pallette. Seriously. After this, you won't even think of Lee's still born attempt. You wont remember it.
